Hand painted tile - Moroccan Riad style in blue and white
In traditional workshops in Morocco, hand-painted ceramic tiles are still created today in the same way they have been for centuries. Artisans paint each individual glazed clay tile with a steady hand and a lot of experience. Only after the second firing process do the colors develop their intense luminosity and give each tile its unmistakable character.
This hand-painted tile features an ornate blue and white star motif reminiscent of classic Moroccan decorative tiles found in old riads. The fine lines and geometric pattern create an elegant yet lively surface. Due to the handcrafted production, each tile is a small unique piece.
Traditional ceramic art from Morocco
Hand-painted ceramic tiles are one of the most recognizable elements of Moroccan architecture. The typical geometric shapes and floral details are inspired by Moorish design traditions. Small differences in color, lines or glaze are characteristic of genuine handcraft and underline the authentic charm of these Moroccan tiles.
Versatile wall design for kitchens, bathrooms and living rooms
With their format of approx. 10 × 10 cm, these tiles are particularly suitable as decorative wall tiles. They are often used as a kitchen back wall, tile backsplash or decorative tile strip in the bathroom or guest toilet.
Hand-painted tiles also bring Mediterranean flair into the room as a cladding on a counter, as a detail in a patio or as a design element in a café, restaurant or catering establishment. In old apartments, country house kitchens or boho interiors, several motifs can be combined in a patchwork and create a lively wall design.
