In the traditional ceramic workshops of Morocco, hand-painted tiles are still carefully crafted by hand. Fine ornaments are applied to glazed clay tiles with a steady hand. Only after the second firing process in the kiln do the colors develop their characteristic depth and the surface acquires its typical ceramic shine.
